some of our happy customers have sent us a summary of their experiences with us. we are so grateful to highlight them and show their tintype’s scan here : )

In the era of unlimited pixels devoted to photography, Ruby and Dirt of Breakfast All Day, slow it all down with a process from Abraham Lincoln’s time. Fickle in its outcomes, tintype is a challenge for photographer and subject alike. It’s easy to see why so many old tintype portraits capture stiff and scowling subjects. So who says you have to smile? I love my portraits and appreciate the art form these folks have resurrected. One of their tintypes is worth gigabytes of phone selfies. -Robert (5×7)

I'd been wanting a tintype photo with my Steampunk Davy Jones costume for years, and I was so grateful to the Breakfast All Day tintype team for helping to make it happen.  Super friendly, easy to work with, and accommodating of the limited window I have to wear a bulky costume on a hot day!  They weren't tethered to a static photographic backdrop either which really makes them stand out from other tintype photographers I've observed (though I understand that would be site-specific).  It may seem expensive for a single photo, but the realism you get with the tintype cannot be replicated.  As costumers we put a lot of time and effort into making our costumes seem "real" - whether it's through materials, design, or finish treatments.  A tintype photo is going to instantly make everything look 100% real - just make sure you work on your pose since you only have one shot! - Tim (8×10)

Getting a tintype taken by Breakfast All Day was a lovely, unique experience. The tintype medium captures humanity's purest, simplest, and most essential facets—a welcome craft in these technology-centric times. Dirt and Ruby gave excellent guidance for posing and produced a very special portrait that my partner and I will always value. -Emily (2×3)

Our whole group had a great time. Photos came out quick and were very crisp. I love how I now have an image that will last for generations of the people I love.

Thanks so much for the wonderful experience. -Ariel (8×10)

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time having our portraits taken by Breakfast All Day Tintype Studio.

Dirt did a phenomenal job at the pop-up event with his set-up and working with the flow of people in the space.

Ruby was fabulous communicating with us about how the pop-up worked and how we would receive the images.

Watching the picture come to life (develop) was so fascinating. It was truly a blast and we cannot wait to cherish these photos for years to come.

Thank you Dirt and Ruby! -Meesh (4×5 and 2×3s)
